Hi, I'm Stacy

It’s been an intense first half of the year, and to be completely honest, I need a break. In this episode, I reflect on the year so far and share a bit about what we’re working on.

During this break, I’ll be sharing some listener favorite episodes. So don’t take a break from listening—you’ll want to hear these great conversations!

Stacy: Hello friends, I am really glad to be with you this week for a short and sweet episode to tell you that I am taking a short and sweet break. My team and I have been working so hard this year. We have launched all kinds of things, including my author program, which we’ve run now, a January cohort that’s finishing up and we’re starting with the June cohort. I’ve started with new coaching clients. Our team has been working on ghost trading projects. I’m working on a book. We have so much good stuff going on and we’re humans, so we need to take a break. We need to reset and refresh. And part of that is also just leaning in to serve the people that are working with us now. When you go through these really intense periods, and it’s June, we’ve been hitting it pretty hard since January.

Stacy: It’s really important to take some space and some time, and I do that with such gratitude. I’m actually. I feel like this time I’ve done a better job than in the past of not hitting a wall. I don’t feel like I’m coming into this being completely depleted or, you know, sometimes I don’t know if you’ve experienced this, but sometimes your brain just kind of goes numb. And when you look at, you know, something you need to do, it’s like you really have to dig deep to get the energy. I haven’t quite hit that, but I’m definitely feeling that coming on. And so I know it’s time to take a little break, to lean into my client work, to lean into the students, and that are my cohort, these future authors that I have the joy and honor of guiding.

Stacy: So that’s what I’m going to be doing for the next few weeks. So what can you expect? Well, we will be re sharing a few favorite episodes. These are ones that are the most listened to. They’re conversations that I especially enjoyed with guests that you’re going to want to either relisten to or listen to. If you haven’t heard them in the past. And just a reminder, we have a huge archive of really incredible, incredible conversations. I don’t know if I’ve really talked much about my interviewing background, but I worked as a ghostwriter for a really long time, for probably ten years before I started the podcast or somewhere in that range. And so as a ghostwriter, I spent my time interviewing people and pulling stories out of them. That is an area of expertise that I honed for a really long time.

Stacy: So coming into running this podcast and eventually getting really consistent with it, showing up every week, I was able to bring that to these conversations. And I’m really proud of the conversations that I have on this podcast, the people that I get to highlight, the messages that they bring, and the information that I get to share with you. So remember, we have this huge, huge catalog, and you can binge all the episodes you want in my absentia. All that said, I will not be taking a break from my author community, the author influence circle. We have some incredible events in June, including a session on how to launch a podcast to grow your business with the wonderful Farnoosh Tarabi. I will be doing an open coaching hour, which I do every single month.

Stacy: We have more really great sessions coming up, including a public speaking session in July with my dear friend Misty Mejia, who is a world class speaking trainer. And we will be having a session with the wonderful Giovanna Gonzalez, who’s been on this podcast, who’s a past client of mine, on how to create a book launch street team. And she is such an expert at this. She’s been so successful with her book. So all of that is coming up in the author influence circle. I’ll be sure to leave a link to that in the show notes. It’s just@staceynnis.com authorcircle. So if you want to stay connected in the interim, that’s where I’m going to be. And I really love that community, and I love being part of it. We will be taking a break for about a month.

Stacy: I think it figures out, too, because we have today, here I am with you, and then we’ll have three rerun episodes, and then I’ll be back with fresh new content for you. I have so many awesome guests already lined up, and I am also searching for some guests to talk more about location independence. This is something that you have told me that you’re interested in, so I am planning to feature more stories of people who have built location independence for themselves and their families. So look forward to that. It’s something I’m actively working on and I will be bringing you more of which coincides with the book I’m working on how to build location independence for your family. So it’s all connected and I’m really excited to get to share that with you.

Stacy: As always, I am really grateful for your time today for spending these few minutes to connect with me, and as always, to Rita Domingues, who produces this podcast. She has been working so hard and I greatly appreciate all the effort, time, energy she puts into making this podcast great. If you have a few minutes right now, would you do me a favor and rate and review this podcast? It truly means a lot. It helps me reach new listeners. It helps listeners decide to listen when they find the podcast. So if you have a minute, if you could go do that for me. I would really appreciate it and I will be back with you in about a month. In the meantime, please enjoy the wonderful. Episodes that I have very thoughtfully curated for you as reruns and look forward. To our fresh new season not too long out.

Stacy: I hope you have a beautiful rest of your week and I will be back with you before you know it.
